Hard to find the Word of God being preached

Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, That I will send a famine in the land, Not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the LORD: 12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, They shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

There was in the day of Amos and there is today a famine in the land. The famine is the lack of real Bible preaching. Every preacher claims to be a Bible preacher, I suppose. Be seldom do we start with what the Bible says and work outwardly.

Usually we go to the Bible looking for what we feel like God wants us to say. That is backwards actually. We should want to say what God wants us to say. We should be saying what do you want to say from your Word.

Our churches should be Bible centered. The Bible should be preached so much that the people hear what the Bible says and read what the Bible says so much that when they go home they know that they have been in the Bible.

We say we want them to meet with God but often muzzle the very Word of God!
