It is a pleasure to be able to direct ourselves to you, knowing of your love for the work and your prayers for us.
Macedonia Baptist Seminary
This month, we held our XIII School for Pastors and Leaders from October 11th to the 14th. The topic was “Finishing the Race,” and we had almost 500 people each night with more than 200 people in the morning classes. People came from Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia, and Chile as well as from various cities of our country such as Lambayeque, Lima, San Martin, Ucayali, Ayacucho, Apurímac, Cuzco, Moquegua, Ilo, Mollendo, and Chivay.
The morning classes were a blessing. Various pastors and brethren from the churches helped. Brother Austin Gardner taught the pastors and preached at night. His presence was of great encouragement to us.
Next year, Lord willing, we will hold this event from the 9th to the 12th of October with the topic of “Planting Churches in which we hope to encourage pastors to come from their respective places.
We are now preparing for “Revelation,” an event in which we will represent scenes from Revelation with help from brethren from the churches in our city. At the end of the event, we present the Gospel to those who attend. It will be held during the last three weeks of November, for which we ask for your prayers. Last year, we had more than 2,300 attendants, and this year we are expecting even more.
This month, we had a retreat for those in sixth grade through high school (from 11 to 16 years old). It was in the Valle de Vitor, and I thank God for the teachers that gave classes to the different groups. This was an event that marked the 19th year of this ministry! God is good to us! Also, on the 27th, we held a special thanksgiving meeting with both students and parents in attendance.

This month, God permitted us to acquire a projector with the offerings given by our brethren. The one we had was broken due to such a long time of use. I thank God for the generosity of the brethren. It is a demonstration of what we can accomplish together. Together with Esmirna, we helped various pastors and their wives with traveling expenses so they would be able to attend pastor’s school. God bless their generosity.
From the 20th to the 27th, I was at Lighthouse Baptist Church in La Plata to speak on the topic of families with classes for the brethren in the institute. I would like to thank Jeff Bush for the invitation and Pastor Jorge Rodriguez together with missionary Josh Smith for their hospitality.
We finished the month with the first Ladies’ Encounter on Saturday the 29th. Evelyn Mendoza was in charge of the event and there were more than 40 individuals in attendance. Many brethren came from different churches, and they had a great time of fellowship.

In addition to fixing the outside sign for the church, the sisters prepared a missions trip to the city of Mollendo where they will go and take some help to the brethren there who work with Pastor Amador Lovon. Also, the young people held a vigil on Monday the 31, and they are preparing for a retreat in December to the city of Ilo where they will visit Peniel Baptist Church together with pastor and missionary Samuel Huaman.
Berea Baptist Church
We continue with the weekly visitation program as well as with the discipleship classes. We ask for your prayers for us to be able to rent the adjoining building. It is bigger, but the price would be better. Also, we ask you to pray for Sister Sara Garate who had surgery, and we wait for her quick recuperation.
Also, I ask you pray for the following places I will be visiting this month:
- From the 4th to the 6th of November, I will be preaching the anniversary for Callao Baptist Church in a family campaign.
- From the 11th to the 13th, I will visit Open Door Baptist Church in Moquegua speaking on the same topic.
- For the 18th to the 20th, I will be at Vision Baptist Church in Cochabamba preaching on the topic of missions.
It is always a blessing to be able to share with you as partners in the ministry. God bless you
