It is a pleasure to be able to speak with you. I am thankful for your prayers and testimony and
faithfulness to the Lord.
We began the month with a couple’s retreat in La Plata, actually in Chascomus, with more than
twenty couples from El Faro Baptist church with missionary Jeff Bush. It was a privilege to be
able to help the brethren and sisters with their families. This time my wife and my oldest daughter,
Andrea, were able to go with me.
At the end of the month, we have a couples retreat in Lima at The Rock Baptist Church. We began
on Friday the 29th with 170 people and all day Saturday the 30th of October with eighty people. My
youngest daughter, Gabriela, and one of the brethren from the church at Esmirna, Edgar Villafuerte,
who is preparing in the Macedonia Baptist Seminary, were also there. I thank God for the opportunity and for the brethren who showed us hospitality.
From the 5th to the 8th of October, we had the XII Pastors School at the Seminary. The speaker
was Pastor Austin Gardner who brought lessons and challenging workshops. We had pastors from
Chile, Venezuela, Bolivia, and different places in our country. I thank God for the churches in
Esmirna, El Faro, and missionary Rob Stover who made it possible to cover the traveling expenses
of our invited pastors.
This month, we will have two special events, the Men’s Congress, (Saturday the 6th) and
Lady’s Conference, (Friday the 12th and Saturday the 13th), for which we ask your prayers. I thank
God for the brothers Alfredo Part and for Evelyn Mendoza who took responsibility for these events
respectively and for the families that will provide the various expenses.
Also, we are preparing to give care packages to various pastors and missionaries from our church. The
families have organized to bring gifts for each of them in the month of December.
This past month was the school’s anniversary. We have finished eighteen years, and we held a
thanksgiving service on Thursday, the 28th, with a great group of parents, students, former students, and pastors. God blessed us with a love offering that was very special and made it possible to repair the men’s restroom. We continue to serve a God preparing a generation of young men and ladies with a Biblical mind.
We continue to have more Bible study groups in different places around our city like 4 de October,
La Campina, Miraflores, Urb. Santo Domingo, and La Melgariana among others. This month we
will have some brethren from our church follow the Lord in believer’s baptism just as those in
the Hunter Baptist church. We thank God also for the prayer meeting that was held on Sunday,
New people continue to visit this new work. Additionally, many of our new believers continue to
learn the books of the Bible and are being discipled on Saturdays.
Many people call us during the programs on Sunday and Monday, and we have sent them invitations
from the church that is closest to their homes. On Sunday, we will talk about spiritual maturity, a
study of the book of James, and how to raise daughters.
This first week of November, the students take their monthly tests. I ask for your prayers for the
graduation banquet on November 30th and the graduation ceremony on Friday, December 3. Many
pastors will come to be a part of this, as well as Brother John Pearson.
Thank you for your prayers and for your love for God.
