Exodus 6:12 And Moses spake before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?
I know Moses is supposed to be more spiritual than he is but I understand him. His own people had not believed him or listened to him. Now God is telling him to go to the enemy. The Egyptians want to kill him. They know him very well. They know that he killed a man. They know the plans the family had for him.
Sometimes I think too reasonably. Instead of believing what God says I choose to think like a man. I choose to believe what even a lost man would believe. I don’t see how this can please God but I still end up thinking like that. Do you?
Moses is to go on and do something for God not based on his past successes but based on the promises of the Father. Isn’t that really all that any of us do? Can we literally think that we have accomplished anything that He hasn’t done in our lives? Isn’t it boastful to think that I will do well on the next job because God blessed the last one?
I should learn to live and believe what He says in His Word. That is more than enough to be used and be blessed. Go on Moses. Don’t worry about what the Israelites have thought of you. Believe what God says to be true!
