Thank you for your prayers and support as we transition into full-time deputation. We are amazed and excited to be stepping out in a new direction and to see His leading in our lives.
We have already begun to travel on deputation and have been to 6 meetings, a missions camp, and the Vision Baptist Missions orientation. Pray for us as we continue to get ready for September when we will be traveling full-time.
Ministry
Currently we are handing off responsibilities in the church to those who will be taking over when we will not be there any more in September.
Teaching – I taught a class in the summer semester of the Training Center on “Music in the Church” last month where we studied the biblical, practical, and technical aspects and purposes of music.
Sunday School – The Lord has really been working and blessing the Sunday School class that I teach and it has been consistently growing over the past months numerically and spiritually. I have 7 weeks left teaching the College and Career class, “Single Focus” and am leaving them with the book of 1 John. I am going to miss them and ask that you would pray that He would continue to work as another young couple takes over.
Music – I have had the privilege of being in charge of the music for the last 4.5 years and I am thankful for what the Lord has taught me through it. I think Bro. Gardner is a little nervous about the music after I leave, but I am very confident in the ones that will still be here will continue to do an amazing job. We will be having a special music service August 15th just before I leave and we will also be working at putting out one more CD before I leave.
Scheduling
We are currently scheduling for 2010-2011 so that we can have a full deputation schedule when we get started and get to Thailand as quickly as possible. If you would like to schedule us in your church, just let me know and we will be glad to come by to present the ministry.
Thailand
Thailand is white already to harvest and the laborers are very few. It has a population of about 65 million people, 95% of which are Buddhist and have never heard the Gospel. Less that 1% of the country even claims to be Christian and they desperately need the Gospel and strong churches started. Pray that we will be able to raise our support quickly and begin work in the place God has called us.
