Proverbs 20:7 The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.
The part of the verse that catches my eye is that this man’s children can be blessed after him. I want my children and grandchildren to be blessed. Notice what happens in this verse to bring blessings on the children.
First, he is a just man. A saved man is a just man. The word just here refers to someone who does right. We know that in and of ourselves we cannot do right but in Christ Jesus we are just and holy.
Then this just man walks in his integrity. Integrity refers to being complete. He is what he says that he is. He lives out his faith. He is a man of his word. He loves God and that is known of him.
I want to be this type of dad. I want my children to be blessed and I know that you do. So live out your faith and who you are in Christ Jesus.
