1Chronicles 22:5 And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.
David loved his son. He knew that the work God had for him was great. He wanted the work to be done well and he wanted his son to be a success.
So he prepared abundantly before his death.
I wonder if we as parents consider what our children will do with their lives? I wonder if we prepare them for whatever it is that God wants them to do?
It might change our perspective if we thought that God had a special plan for our children’s lives! It might make a difference if we prepared them as best we could for that.
I think we prepare them to live like regular people but I am not sure that God’s people even consider these questions often!
