What a great start to a new year! Our Summit went great and January was definitely a packed month. Our travels took us to Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, and of course Georgia.
On January 3rd, my home church, Vision Baptist Church, had its first service in its new location. Since our Training Center is a ministry of my church we also started classes up in a new location this semester. I spent a few weeks helping get all the paper work and approvals ironed out so we could actually move in. The Lord work and we were out of the old building and into the new a day before our contact was up.
God worked in some awesome ways over the winter break. He brought in two new families who are training for the mission field. We pray they learn what is needed in order to get the gospel message to the world.
In the middle of January, my pastor, Austin Gardner, traveled to Burkina Faso to visit missionaries Keith Shumaker and Vicente Garcia. Vicente trained at our Bible College in Peru. During that trip the Lord opened the doors for us to broaden our ministry. Bro. Shumaker has several national men he is training and working with. God is using them to take the gospel to tribes and villages that aren’t being reached by anyone, that even includes the cults.
So while traveling, I will not only be representing the Peru Baptist College, and national pastors and missionaries from Peru but also those that are working with our team of missionaries around the world. We pray this is just one more step closer to use seeing the gospel message go to the world in our generation. I will update the list of the missionaries we are working with on our mission board web site at Along with the church planters, we have several other things we are working with that I would like to ask you to be praying for.
The first thing is materials for national pastors. I will be working with my pastor to make material available to national pastors around the world who do not have access to Bible study helps and training materials.
Secondly, we are attempting to start radio and tv ministries in countries and languages that don’t have anything about the gospel being broadcasted in their tongue.
To accomplish all we feel the Lord will have us do, we need more help. If you would be interested in aiding in these projects, please let me know.
