Ezekiel 28:5-6 By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches: Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;
God is angry with the pride of the prince of Tyrus. His money has increased. He thinks that he is a God. He thinks that he is wiser than the man of God. He was smart enough to get money but he wasn’t a God no matter how proud he was of himself. Now God is going to punish him and show him that he is just a man.
How many times do we let our popularity, our success, our money make us feel like a God just like he did. How many times do we let our prosperity make us feel so good that we don’t God or we don’t have time for Him.
Many times in moments of prosperity we will talk like we love God and that we need and want Him but will find little time for Him.
Same thing happens when things are not going well. Some how we fine excuses to put God and our relationship to Him on the back burner. I challenge you to seek God and serve Him. Don’t allow it to be something you do simply out of habit or ritual but the real you.
