Isaiah 43:21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
What a wonderful, enlightening thought, He formed the nation of Israel for Himself. He formed them to show forth His praise.
I challenge you to consider this. Why were you formed? Were you formed for Him? Is it your purpose according to Him to show forth His praise?
In Ephesians 2:10 He calls us His workmanship.
In Titus 2:14 He calls us His peculiar people. That word peculiar means abundant, costly, select. It refers to God’s chosen people in whom He has a special interest, one which exceeds His common concern for mankind in general. It means we are “His treasured people”, the same as the “purchased people” referred to in 1Peter 2:9.
1Corinthians 6:19-20 says that we are not our own but have been bought with a price.
He did form us for Himself. We are here to show forth His praise. How are you doing with this purpose? Is He the reason you live? Are you trying to magnify His name with your life and testimony?
Today my thoughts will be on the fact that I was made for Him and that He wants me and my life to tell the world how great He is!
