Psalm 27:13-14 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Do you ever get discouraged? Do you ever think that God has forgotten you? Does it ever seem like things will never straighten out? Does it seem like your enemies, Satan, and just life in general have you beaten?
David felt that way but he believed anyway! He believed that if he waited God was going to do something great in his life. He gives us sound Biblical advice here.
He was at the point of fainting, of giving up, of losing hope. But he believed. He believed that sooner or later God was going to do something. He believed that God would do it while he was still alive.
His advice is to wait on the Lord, to be encouraged. To not fear what is going on but to know that God is at work in your life.
The promise is that if you wait on the Lord He will strengthen your heart. You will be stronger spiritually.
So wait! How do you wait? You wait by getting into God’s Word, praying, seeking His face and believing and trusting Him in your darkest moments. I challenge you to hold on. On your worst day, hold on. On the day you don’t think you can wait, get in front of God. Pray. Search His Scriptures and wait, hold on.
God will do a work in your life. We will look back and praise God for how He got us through this.
Wait I say on the Lord!
