Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,
What a month this has been. Sometimes I wonder if things can get any more exciting and they always seem to. Things are going well here in Arequipa, God is blessing, at the same time we have been under some attacks but God is always faithful. Please continue to keep the ministry in Peru in your prayers that God will continue to use it in great ways.
This month we thank God for the Rodney Holmes family, they have come to learn the language and are planning to go to Venezuela as missionaries. We are excited to have them here working with the team and are excited to see how God is going to use them on the mission field as well. They have some great ideas of how to get into Venezuela. They are going to be trying to become Peruvians. You can do this after living in Peru for 2 years without leaving the country. Then they will be trying to go to Venezuela as Peruvian missionaries. Pray for them in this endeavor.
We are also thankful for the privilege of having two families interning in Arequipa with us. Andrew and Holly Pearson are here for 3 months, pray for them as they are considering trying to take over the TV ministry here in Peru. There are many opportunities that are arising with the TV ministry. We are trying to save up about $2500 to get the TV station to the next level pray that the Lord will provide the funds needed for that. We also have the privilege of having Robert and Kelli Canfield here for 6 months. They are both members of our home church and we are excited about being able to invest into their lives.
This month we should be moving into our church building, we are trying to rent it and have had some issues but it seems that they are working out. The church is doing great and we are excited about all that God is doing through it. We have raised about $2500 of the $10,000 needed for the starting of the church. Pray that God will raise the needed funds.
We had the privilege this month of traveling to Chile to preach for Jason Holt. God is truly using him in incredible ways there. We were able to see 7 people accept Christ and many decisions were made. I was truly amazed at how God is using them to reach that part of Santiago with the gospel. On the way back home I had my backpack stolen. In it I had my 15in. Macbook Pro, my ipod, all my backup hard drives etc. Needless to say this has been one of the hardest losses we have ever suffered. Pray for us there are many other places needing funds right now but we really need to have this tool back to use as well. Please keep all of this in your prayers. We know that God is going to do some great things and that he has a purpose. Please keep us in your prayers. Thanks for all you do and for your consistent support.
Yours for Souls,
Chris, Andria, Jacob, Hannah and Andrew Gardner
