Philippians 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
Live in a way that is worthy of the gospel of Jesus Christ. If He has saved you there should be a definite change in you. It should be obvious that you are born again.
This means much more than being a good, nice, moral person. It means standing strong with your brothers and sisters in Christ in defense of the gospel. Standing strong in the faith of what Jesus Christ did on the cross of Calvary.
I fear that many think that the Christian life is about being a nice guy. They have no idea that we are to be militant for Him. We are to strive together for the faith.
We should be doing all we can to get His truth, the gospel, to the world. We should be standing strong and causing people to see that salvation is not a product of human effort but a result of divine grace.
This ministry and message that we have should consume us.
Paul says it shouldn’t matter if I am there with you or far away. I should hear of your affairs, what you are doing and know that you are living, teaching, and preaching the truth.
How are you involved in getting the gospel of Jesus Christ to others? Do you pray that He will send forth laborers to the world? Do you give so others can go and preach? Do you support a church that is actively trying to get the gospel out? Do you share your faith?
I hope that anyone that knows us would be able to say that when they hear of our affairs they know that we are trying to get the gospel to others and are standing fast!
