Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The New Testament ends with Jesus saying that He is coming quickly. The word quickly refers to shortly, without delay, soon, or suddenly. Jesus is coming back. It will shock us and the entire world. It will be when we least expect it. It will be quickly. I have no doubt as to the fact that He will come back. I wanted however for us all to take this verse and this devotional to consider our attitude about His return. John’s answer was “even so, come, Lord Jesus!” What would our answer be? How many of us would say, “Look Lord, we want you to come back, we love you and all, but we have some other things to be doing right now! Could you hold off on coming back for a while. I think I will be ready later!” How many of us would say that we love the Lord Jesus, that we think of Him and His coming regularly and that we want Him to come quickly? How many of us would say, “Well I am going to get right and I am going to want you to come back but give me some time to get my life in order?” I am asking you to take a few minutes today and get some things right. How about saying I want to get my attitude and priorities right and I want to do that now. We are to love His coming. 2Timothy 4:8. He ought to be on our minds all day and in everything that we do. Is He? What things do you need to fix today?
