Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
It is so easy to get confused, to get things turned around. He is the Creator. He had a purpose when He created us. He created us for His pleasure.
How many times do I go to God to remind Him of what I need to be happy? I often do I judge what goes on in my life based on my criteria for what makes me happy.
I want God to bless me and make me happy. I want Him to give me glory and honor and even power. Now you know that I would never say that right out. I would never even think it. But I do want to be recognized for how good I am, how much I have accomplished. I want Him to give me the power to accomplish great things and the breaks I need to get it done.
To be honest most of that is about me. I want to be recognized. I want honor, glory and power. How about you?
How often do we think that it is about Him and we will do whatever it takes to please Him?
Men are willing to give their lives for their country. They are even willing to die.
Me, I serve the God of Heaven but most of the time I want Him to serve me. I want Him to protect me and make things work out well for me.
Well you can think that over today. How much of life is about Him? How often do we think of ourselves as His creation? How often do we think that we were created for His pleasure?
Would that change any of our priorities? That is if we changed our thought processes to think of being His creation, created for His pleasure and His purpose! Would that change the way we live?
