China
He is standing in near freezing water in China close to a public road. More than a dozen are going to be baptized. They have gone to an illegal assembly (church), heard the gospel preached clearly, repented of their sins and placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. They are now taking the step of baptism. Just as this North American Missionary is in the middle of baptizing two police cars show up and watch! Don’t forget this meeting is totally illegal. Imagine how fast the hearts are beating. Imagine the fear and the thrill to know that you are serving God behind enemy lines. There you have my friend giving his life. Read more
South Africa
There he is, the young man who turned down a full ride football scholarship to go to Bible College. He is driving into a township (large area where mostly tribal people live) outside the city. He is one of the few white people that are brave enough to go in. He has learned their language. He began by reaching several young men. Now they are preaching in the native language in the heart of AIDS country. Dozens are being saved. Lives are being changed. On a trip there with him we pulled into a gas station. About a dozen young xhosa speaking black people swarmed the truck. Don’t forget you are in the heart of a country torn by racism. Apartheid had it’s home here. This young man begins speaking to all of them. They are calling him Fundisi Temba. Pastor Hope as he is known. They love and respect him. Others fear to go here. He is loved here. Read more!
North to Burkina Faso
Tribal people, the third poorest country on the planet, needy people hearing the gospel. Muslims are slowly taking over this country. You need a guard 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. But they are getting saved. Muslims are getting saved. Go out into the country to places that have rarely seen a white man much less a 6 foot 7 inch Bible carrying missionary. Visit a family with him. Meet the man and his three living wives. Saved out of Islam. Serving God faithfully. Excessive heat, malaria over 20 times, but dozens saved, churches started. I can’t think of anything more exciting. Read more!
Further north to Morocco
It is illegal to be a missionary here. Islam rules with a clenched fist. But here come the missionaries with the Bible, mp3 players with Bible messages, gospel literature and it is on. Not long ago a Moroccan young man and a student missionary were detained, roughed up, had their Bibles and other literature confiscated because they were telling people about Jesus. They had sat down for a cup of tea. They were talking to someone in the restaurant. They left them a Bible. It wasn’t long until the police come. 24 hours of fear, insults, mistreatment later the young men are let go. What do they do? They continue on preaching the gospel, delivering Bibles and carrying the truth to those lost in darkness. Did I say exciting? Read more!
Time fails me to tell you of more!
A young man and his family running between two cities, two churches working like a wild man in Northern Ireland.
A young man who gets up and preaches on the radio every morning before running to teach in the Bible Institute.
Two young men working in another country sharing the gospel!
Another young man whose family just had swine flu and lets nothing stop him.
Several young men and their families in a city with a Bible College, churches, etc preaching, teaching and doing all they can to get the gospel to the entire world. Recently having his life threatened because of the sins of one of his church members.
God is at work all over this world. You are missing it if you are not involved in world evangelism. I challenge you to find your place in God’s plan and to give it all that you have!
