This is a follow up to a previous post on how to have a passion for world evangelism. It is much the same with a few added details.
First, realize that how you think in your heart will affect all about you. Proverbs 23:7 You can control what you think. Philippians 4:8. What if you would decide what to think about.
I challenge you to read the Bible. See the passion of God for souls. Hebrews 12:2-3. Isaiah 53:1-12. How can you love Him and His Word and that not affect you?
Start reading missionary biographies. Read how God has used men and women to make an eternal difference. His will is beautiful. It is the most exciting thing in the world. No life compares to it.
Get involved in faith promise missions. Give. When you give it will affect how you feel. Matthew 6:21
Make a conscious effort to keep souls, the world, the name of Jesus, world evangelism before you. Romans 10:1-3, Romans 9:1-3
Get you a map. Start studying other countries and the world. Think of the people. Think of the gospel. Think of all those that die without ever having even had an opportunity to hear the gospel much less believe.
Pray that God will send forth laborers into His harvest. You are commanded to do that. Matthew 9:37. When you see the need and think about it you will want missionaries to go. That will motivate you to pray, to give, and to go yourself.
I challenge people in foreign countries to go to the graveyard and see how many died before the gospel ever got to a country. Do you realize that the bodies of thousands lay in the grave and their souls in Hell that never even heard the gospel.
I challenge people on the field to go outside the city and see the lights of the city. We then pray over the city and ask God to send forth laborers. Matthew 23:37 I can imagine Jesus as He weeps over the city of Jerusalem. I then think that most of us have never wept over the lost soul of anyone unless it was a family member and I fear that we do not even do that very often. Look at the city. Consider how many people there are. Ask yourself are there enough people trying to get the gospel to them?
Meditate on what it would have been like to be born in Morocco and never hear the gospel but only about a false God with no hope of true salvation. Would you be crying for someone to come with the gospel. Even the rich man in hell was crying for someone to go warn his brothers. Luke 16:28
Think about the Great White Throne where they will hear that they are workers of iniquity and He never knew them. Think how they will be cast into hell though they never heard. Revelation 20:11-15
Think of our reward as we hear, after living faithfully, and doing what we should as we hear well done! Matthew 25:21
