Dear Vision,
Today is Father’s Day! I thank God for the privilege of making me a dad and granddad. This is a great day for us as Dads! I thank God for the family that He has given me. Betty and I were blessed with 4 children. They are married to wonderful people. He has blessed us with 11 wonderful grandchildren!
Today I will preach, Lord willing, on Arrows in the Hands of a Mighty Man. That is what the Lord compares our children to. We can make an eternal difference simply by being godly parents and grandparents.
So congratulations to all of our dads today! I pray God will richly bless you and also motivate you to be the dad He meant for you to be! I am sure that you have heard this one but here it comes for good measure: “One night a father overheard his son pray: Dear God, Make me the kind of man my Daddy is. Later that night, the Father prayed, Dear God, Make me the kind of man my son wants me to be.”
I am very proud of our team here at the church and the missionaries that we work with. I do not know if you were able to come and be part of the meetings this week but if you missed then you missed a real move of the Lord among our young people and in our church.
I thank Mark Tolson and all those that helped him give us a great Our Generation Leadership Camp this week. Thank you to all of you that did so much to help.
It is summer time. It is hot! And many are traveling but I fully expect these next months to be very exciting in our church. We are preparing to move to a new building. We are looking for God to really bless and excited about all the prospects. Be praying for me and all the church leadership team.
God bless you all
Austin
