I have a report from Pastor Trent on the Dodge Hunger event and I know that he might not write this up for you so I am going to put up an edited version of what he sent me. I was so very excited to get this report:
The Gospel was clearly presented to 170 people.
We have a wonderful army of volunteers who stayed up all night, worked as a team, and did all that could to make the night a success.
We had some people serving that have not served much before.
We had 60 teens from our church or community at the event!
It looks like the event almost broke even cost wise.
We collected nearly 1400 cans to help those in need.
We had many people in the community hear about our church and their first impression was that we are a church that doesn’t just observe we get involved.
We had a wonderful time with the other youth pastors and churches that participated!
Nothing was broken and we get our deposit back 🙂
Our volunteers found it rewarding to serve and are motivated to do more!
We got some awesome video footage of our youth groups dodgeball team making it to the finals of the competition.
Thank you to everyone that helped. Thank you to our sister churches for being so involved in this special event.
Thank you to all of those from our church that worked so hard.
Thank you to Trent Cornwell who is carrying an extra heavy load this week with Dodge Hunger and preaching all day on Sunday.
Vision is blessed with a wonderful staff.
