Pleasing God ought to be on the top of our list. I got an email this week that asked me what my life’s goal was. I wrote down several things. They were good things but I suppose that right now as I study I would like to change that and say that I want to please God. I want Him to be pleased with me. I can please God. The passage we will look at today tells us exactly how to do so. We must come to Him with faith. We must believe that He is and that He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. I want to seek Him. Seeking Him is more than just a one time or even short term thing. Notice it says diligently seek. How do I do that? I put my affections on things above. I get into His word, prayer, preaching and all that I can to learn more about Him and His working in me. I seek to yield my life to the Holy Spirit and obey what He tells me through His word. I am also excited about the service tonight at 6 p.m.. We will look at the holiness of the name of God from Leviticus 24. Did you know that taking the name of the Lord God in vain brought the death penalty? How seriously do we take Him, His name, His person? Don’t miss anything this week where you can learn more about Him or seek Him more. Lots of great things are on the schedule. I hope you will be able to participate in many of them. This afternoon we will participate in Taste of Forsyth. This week is Dodge Hunger. Get all the info you can and be part of being a blessing. Get with Pastor Trent to see how you can help. I am so grateful to God for the chance to serve Him with you. I look forward to all that He has for us. I for one am going to be seeking Him, coming to Him, and believing Him to be and to be the rewarder of those like me who will seek Him out. Let’s enjoy the journey!
