He will answer me!

April 12, 2009 By Austin Gardner Leave a Comment

Psalm 86:5-7 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

God is good and ready to forgive! He has abundant mercy! What a tremendous God we serve. Did you know that He will hear any body that will call on Him? (unto all that call upon thee!)? He is a God who states clearly that He is ready to hear and answer our prayers.

This promise gives David so much confidence that he prays with great boldness. He says, God give ear-listen to, pay attention to my prayer. We that have placed our faith in the finished work of Christ, in the fact that He died, was buried, and rose again are His! We have been given great promises.

We can go into His presence with boldness. Hebrews 4:16 We can go near to Him with full assurance Hebrews 10:19-23. We have both boldness and access with confidence Ephesians 3:12.

Are you in trouble? Are you facing difficult times and really do not know where to turn? Right here you have a promise. It is a very great promise. You can know that He is a good God. You can know that He is not angry with you. You can know that He is waiting for you to come in and ask. He is ready to help you.

Much of your worry and doubt or should I say all of it is a lie that you are hearing from the Devil and your flesh. He never loved you because you were good. So He hasn’t quit loving you because of some sin or failure.

You may be thinking but He is angry with me and He is punishing me but even if that were true you have a promise. He is a good God. He is full of mercy. He wants you to come to Him in prayer in your day of trouble. He will hear and He will answer.

Let’s run to Him. Let’s tell him all about our troubles and know that He will answer. Get your attitude right. Quit blaming God for your lack of prayer, your fears or your doubts. He stands ready to answer!
