Celebration Sunday Review

I didn’t get anything written yesterday because I left the house at 8:40 am and did not get back until about 10:15 pm. It was a long day but a good day.

As you know it was a rainy day in Georgia. That always makes you feel like you are going to have a great number of people show up. The kids were going to the park and instead had to make do with staying inside the church building but any way it all turned out to be a great day.

I want to thank Robert Canfield and all of his team for the hard work they did to make it such a special day with the kids.

We had 155 in Sunday School. We had 190 for church. Those are good numbers but even better than that God allowed us to see two young people baptized yesterday as we started the service.

It was a joy to see our Youth Pastor, Trent Cornwell baptize and see all that God is doing in our youth ministry. They are the future of the church, really the present and I am asking God to call many of them to full time Christian service. At the end of the service a teen that Trent had gone to pick up accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour and was back again last night.

In the afternoon while my Sunday School class went to the Clapp residence I made the trip over to Trinity Hills Baptist Church in Norcross with John Pearson to preach for Pastor Ronald Tubillas. One man in the church brought 30 visitors. They had nearly 80 total in attendance. Several made professions of faith.

Then last night to teachers and workers meeting to talk about discipleship. In the evening service God gave us 97 in attendance with two wonderful visitors.

Yesterday was a great day and I thank God for what He has done in and through us over these last 3 years and I am looking forward to what He is going to do next.

God bless each of you. It was wonderful to see our newest members bringing friends to the service. It was wonderful to see how all of you got involved and were used of God to make a difference in the life of someone.

Thank you so much for all you do. God bless you.

Please pray for me and Sam Paxin this week as we head to Bolivia to be with Missionary Kevin White and Jorge Montenegro.
