What do you do with all the benefits?

2Chronicles 32:25 But Hezekiah rendered not again according to the benefit done unto him; for his heart was lifted up: therefore there was wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem.

God had blessed Hezekiah greatly. But here comes a verse that will break your heart. He didn’t render again to the Lord all that God had done for him. He took but he didn’t give back. He enjoyed the blessings but he wasn’t willing to honor God with his life. The blessings brought pride and not humility. He got lifted up in his own opinion of himself instead of realizing that it was God that had done the work. He believed his own press reports.

Might sound like one of us! God has been so good to us. He has blessed us with salvation and all spiritual blessings. He has blessed us with health and family. He has blessed us in many ways but the question comes, do we realize that the blessings are from the Lord? Do we begin to believe and act like we have done something to get what we have?

When we are starting out and needy we look to Him for everything. We serve Him. We are willing to sacrifice for Him and His causes. Then with time and His blessings we get to growing and ejoying blessings and forget that it was Him that did it all.

Here we are enjoying the blessings but not giving back to Him. We served Him to get but not to thank Him. We served Him while we were needy but when things worked out we forgot who did all the great things in our lives.

Could you do a personal evaluation right quick? Have you been blessed? Do you realize that it is God that has blessed you? Have you been lifted up in pride to think more highly of yourself than you ever did before?

What are you doing in service to the one who has been so good to you? Do you love and serve Him? Do you render to Him for all that He has done for you or have you become an ungrateful recipient of His blessings?

What are you going to do with all of His blessings?
