2Chronicles 25:9 And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give thee much more than this.
Since when has money become more important than the will of God in our lives? I am sad to say that it happened a long time ago in many of our lives. We read this story in the Bible and it sounds pathetic.
Amaziah says well if God is not going to bless us and He doesn’t really want us to go what am I to do. I already gave a large sum of money to the army of Israel. I have so much money invested that I will have to do what I planned even without God. I mean money is important!
The man of God answers and says that money is not as important as God and His blessing. God can give you more than you lost. That brings us to our thought for today.
How are you showing that money is more important than God or His will for your life? How much does money, possessions, things control your thoughts and your plans? How much are you willing to give of what God has given you to honor Him?
Do you decide what to do based on how it will affect you financially or what is right and will please God? Is your job and money more important to you than your testimony?
Since when have we allowed money to become the all driving, motivating force in our lives? Are we pleased with what it does to us?
What is the last thing that you did that showed that money was not your master? Do you children know that you value your walk with God more than you do your job, your possessions, your things?
The question is to you now, Since when?
