Exodus 29:43  And there I will meet with the children of IsraelHow I thank God that He planned to meet with His people! This morning I need Him. I long for Him to show His power in my life. I am begging Him to use me for His purposes! The thought of meeting with God-wow! This verse occurs as God is telling the people of Israel how to build the tabernacle. God gives implicit instructions. He is preparing a place that He will make holy and where He will meet with His people Israel. Imagine this-other gods want you to meet with them-those of false religion. Here the one true God wants to meet with His people. He came to us. There was no way we could get to Him. We do not deserve to be able to talk to Him. We have sinned against a Holy God. Our sins have separated us from Him. He makes a plan and comes to us! Can you imagine that. He is the initiator! He seeks us out! I can not imagine why He would love me or you for that matter but He does. Several things to remember. As you read about how they built the tabernacle and the great details that God gave them you must know that this is serious business to have God meet with you. Do you take lightly the fact that He wants to meet with you? In the New Testament we do not have to go to the Tabernacle or the Temple-we are His dwelling place. Our communion or fellowship with God is not limited to times that we are allowed to go and enter into His presence He lives in us! We do not have to offer a sacrifice because He has already offered Himself for us! He has already made us holy! What a wonderful thought-what a wonderful truth! He has already met with you! He now invites us to love His presence, to seek Him. Do you have a quiet time each day? Do you allow Him to talk by spending time reading the Bible with a receptive heart asking Him to speak? Do you hunger to see Him glorified in you? I will meet with them! Oh, God I want you to meet with me today! I want to grow in grace! I want to honor and glorify you! Thank you for meeting with me. Thank you for opening the door and coming to me!
