The Christmas promise

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The serpent, being used as a tool by Satan, has just deceived Eve. God comes and gives the promise to Eve that her seed will bruise Satan’s head or give him a fatal wound.

Can you imagine what every godly girl dreamed of until Mary! Might I be the one that God chooses to send the promised one-the Messiah.

Then one day the Angel appeared and said

Luk 1:28 ….. Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

Luk 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
Luk 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS

The promise had finally come true. God had blessed womankind. She might have caused the fall but now she was blessed by God to give birth to the Saviour and the one that would crush Satan under His feet.

Amazingly, God rescues and blesses the fallen. It wasn’t based on Mary’s goodness but on God’s grace.

You can know in your greatest failure that if you will but turn to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour He will bring blessing from failure.

What a promise, what a Saviour! Merry Christmas to one and all!
