Comment on the Pastor’s Conference for World Evangelism

May 8, 2008 By Austin Gardner 2 Comments

Bro. Austin,

The Pastor’s Conference really was a blessing. The food, the hospitality and the teaching and preaching encouraged my heart.

The Books, the gifts, the singing, the teaching and preaching was just what I needed.

The people and staff of Vision Baptist hosted one of the best conference I’ve ever attended in my 34 years of full time ministry. First Class, informative, encouraging, relaxing! I sure needed this! Like a oasis in the Warfare, but much more than that, it was a time to re focus, to examine our priorities and to encourage us to stay on track.

Thank you for hosting a tremendous Conference… I believe everyone was help to see the real purpose for our ministry and that is to reach the World!

Thank You,

A Pastor

Another note

Great conference, everything I think went well.

Another

Pasor in a world with so many views and different teachings thank you for sticking to the BIBLE. The teaching this week has made many lightbulbs in my mind come on… I read somewhere “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet…praise GOD for HIS Word

Pastor Derik Lawrence put the following on his blog:

I had the privilege of attending the Pastor’s Conference for World Evangelism hosted by Vision Baptist Church in Alpharetta these past two days. The preaching was outstanding, but the whole conference would have been worth the money (it was actually free) just for the teaching during the day! Honestly, it was great. You could really see the passion for the heartbeat of God…Missions! Bro. Austin Gardner, Tony Howeth, Charles Blackstock, Trent Cornwell, Wayne Cofield and Chris Gardner all taught sessions or preached and all did a great job. (Sorry, it’s 2 AM and I’m not putting links in tonight) However, I wanted to thank all those who did the behind the scenes work…the audio/visual guys, the ladies and men who cooked (excellent by the way), the young people who served and polished shoes, all the wives of the staff who gave up their husbands for the week…thank you for making us Pastor’s feel appreciated and loved. Mission accomplished! I learned things this week that I think will change some areas in my life forever…time will tell and so will I, later! I am very grateful for the men who went up with me…Bro. Doug Kennedy, Doug Hoffman, Darrell Van Horn and Chad Gordon. Bro. Al Blanton also popped in after work. I love you guys and thank the Lord for you. Goodnight and I’ll tell you more tomorrow sometime.

Several others have spoken to me, one card, and two video messages. God used our church for His honor and glory and I want to thank each of you.

I hope you will plan on being part of the ministry staff when we do this conference again next year.

This came from Kenneth Ralph’s blog a missionary to Kenya that was with us in the conference

Praise God for the Pastor’s Conference hosted by the Vision Baptist Church in Alphretta, GA. All the Preachers challanged us to be concerned about decipling the younger generation.

One very important lesson that I learned was “the BE level” I Was smitten in my heart. How can I tell others how to be if I am not? How can I lead the country to Kenya to the Savior with no Power on my life? If I do not have the Power of God on my Life it is because I am not full on the BE level.

May we all strive to be FULL of the BE level instead of Doing, Serving and Training in vain.
