Betty and I do not have lots of experience at this grandparenting thing because we have always lived somehow separated from our grandkids. Right now we get to see Jacob, Hannah, and Andrew nearly everyday.
This past Monday we went into our backyard and built a small cooking fire to cook some hotdogs and then roast some marsh mellows. We had a great time!
Jacob and Hannah weren’t quite sure that they liked the smoke! But they learned about fire–how not to play in the fire, how to cook their hotdogs, how hot it gets, etc.
Granddaddy had not even taken a bath because once smoked good I knew that I wanted to get straight in the shower.
I thank God for the most wonderful wife in the world and some very precious grandchildren.
