It has already been two years since our first Celebration Sunday–the day we officially launched our church! God has been so good to us! We have seen several people saved and baptized. We have seen our attendance grow slowly but steadily! God has allowed us to have a very special building to meet in–though it is in an office park and is an office building–it is large, comfortable and more than meets our needs!
God has been so good to us! As I sit here thinking about His goodness I am amazed. In my devotions this morning one of the verses that God used to touch me was:
1 Peter 2:3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
I have tasted and seen that the is gracious–He is good! He is kind! He has been so much better to me than I deserve and all that I can do is praise Him!
This Sunday we want to celebrate His goodness! We want to magnify the one that has done such great things in our lives.
He has allowed us to have 2 missionaries sent out of our church already! He has allowed us to give heavily to the cause of world evangelism for the size of our church. He has allowed us to have part in training men and women for the cause of world evangelism. God has been good to us!
I hope that you will come and worship and magnify the Lord with us this Sunday. In His almighty power He has done great things for us, in us, and through us! Let’s worship Him.
Will you pray for this Sunday? Will you pray that God will give me the exact message that He wants me to preach! Will you pray that I would preach with power, love, and wisdom?
I praise the Lord for what He has done and I anticipate the chance to magnify Him this Sunday. We have made several special provisions for this Sunday–the Daybreak Quartet will be with us! We will be celebrating the anniversary of the church with a large anniversary cake. We will go to the park to have some fellowship and relaxing time together after the service. It is going to be a special day. Don’t miss any of it!
Sunday School will start like normal at 9:30 and then the morning service will start a little earlier than usual at 10:15 am. I look forward to seeing you here for Celebration Sunday!
