Change of plans

I was looking forward to getting back to the book of Acts. We will be finished in less than 3 or 4 messages with the entire book. It has been one of my favorite studies ever. I hope that you have enjoyed it.

As I thought and prayed about the message I decided that I believe the Lord has a different message for the morning and evening service. In one service we will be looking at What to do when you don’t know what to do? and in the other service we will talk about how to Lift your Shield of Faith. I believe that you will get a blessing out of each of these messages. I hope you will invite your friends to come and be with you.

Just some thoughts that might help you get ready to be with us in the morning:

• What to do when you are faced with insurmountable odds and great enemies that you may have even brought on yourself or not?
• You have been making too many of your own decisions and doing too many things your own way!

• Has the joy gone out in your life?
• Have you allowed the circumstances to choke your joy and your love for the Lord?
• Have you allowed yourself to believe lies that the Devil would tell you?
• Notice that he didn’t spend time beating himself up he simply went back and sought God!

• Something we must remember is that it is really not about our comfort or our needs but rather His glory
• He may for His glory allow something seemingly bad to happen to us
o Paul’s thorn in the flesh
o Jim Elliot and the missionaries in Ecuador
• We have to be sure that we have the right value system—is it our comfort or His glory
• Have we truly died to ourselves so that He can get glory from our lives anyway that He wants

  1. Thanks for changing the plans. I believe this is vital preaching. I find myself in the bunker thinking that everything that happens is a personal attack on me. The reality is that all this is life and i must be ready to respond like a child of God.

I am really looking forward to this.
