Mr. Charles Jackson Blackstock, Sr., age 79 of Dawsonville, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008. He spent 20 plus years as a boilermaker and the last 10 years as the owner of Black Jack’s Barbeque in Bloomingdale, GA. Mr. Blackstock was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Martha Ellen Blackstock.

Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Debbie Blackstock of Dawsonville, Wallace and Amy Blackstock of Faulkville; grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Luke and Addie; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Lighthouse Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Whitmire and Rev. Carlton Wiley officiating. Interment will follow in the Haw Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, February 4, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
