2008 is off to a great start but as I look ahead and back at the same time I must be very grateful and at the same time very excited about what God is doing and what God is going to do.
You certainly know it already but here is a reminder! We will be celebrating our second anniversary on March 16, 2008! God has been so good to us. He has allowed us to see Him grow His church. Many of you have been here since the beginning. I am making some plans even now of what we will do to celebrate but let me tell you this!
First we celebrate Him and all that He has done!
Then we celebrate each of you and your contributions to Vision Baptist Church to make it the church that it is today. If it were not for your sacrifice, your giving, your serving, your praying, your faithfulness we would not have a church and it certainly wouldn’t be where it is today. You are a blessing!
I want to thank everyone of you: nursery workers, ushers, special music, money counters, Sunday School Teachers, Faith Friends staff, Master Clubs, bus workers, soul winners, givers, prayers, attenders, members and I am sure that I am forgetting someone but it is you that God has used to build this church.
Then I want to thank the greatest staff in the world–Mark Coffey our administrative pastor, Trent Cornwell our Student’s Pastor, Ronald Tubillas, our Spanish Pastor, Philip Bassham our Music Pastor, David Lundy, our Children’s Pastor, Kristen Pearson our pianist, John Pearson our Financial Administrator, Mark Tolson, David Velke, Micah Rastelli, Robert Canfield, Scott Newton, and surely I am forgetting someone who I will be sure to mention the next time.
I also thank our two staff missionaries, Chris Gardner and Julio Soncco.
I thank the churches and pastors that have been so kind to help us financially as we have come this far.
We have some very special things planned as we celebrate God’s goodness–the Day Break Quartet will be with us! We will have a very special meal together, there will be some pictures and videos to remind you of the highlights of the history of our church and much more.
God has been so good to me. I do not know of a man that was ever allowed to start a church that had so much special blessing put in his hands at one time: Each one of you are a gift from God and I thank Him for you. He has given us such a beautiful place to meet, the most wonderful people in the world, the finances to make it all happen, souls saved, baptized, people joining the church. God is good.
