Well I got an email letter that just blessed my blesser and so I wanted to share just a few things out of the letter without hopefully giving away the author of the letter since I do not have their permission. But from the bottom of my heart I say thank you. I have edited the letter by the way!
Hey Bro. Gardner and Mrs. Betty!
I just wanted to send you a quick email to say that we are so glad you are back…and Thank you for all that you do.
My husband and I had to miss our church this past Sunday…all I can say is going to another church is a sure fire way to really make you appreciate your own church.
I appreciate even more the high standards that you have set for your selves and the direction of Vision. The pastor there was extremely nice, but I had a hard time getting over his holey pants, t-shirt and flip flops… there wasn’t a whole lot I could say about his wife.
(Thank you Mrs. Betty, for being such a servant, friend and role model…I aspire to become more like you and am so blessed to have such a wonderful Pastors Wife!!)
The music at Vision has only gotten better and better each week…but I would take the music from our first week over that any day! Maybe its because I had an ear infection…but I promise, I felt like my ears were BLEEDING by the time the worship service had ended.
Thank you also, for always presenting a clear presentation of the gospel…this really, above all else bothered me about the church. These people are responsible for directing lost souls (and my parents) to Christ, and not once was his name mentioned (OH WAIT.. .I take that back…it was mentioned in the Communion they received, this is how it went “Lets take a moment to enjoy the juice and cracker and reflect on how Jesus Christ has blessed our lives” No joke, that was the extent, in full) Thank you for following the plan God gave to His Church.
I don’t want you to think that I am being negative about their church for the sake of being negative…I just wanted to share with you some of the things that made me realize just how extremely blessed we are to have you and a church like Vision in our area. I now understand that good churches aren’t around every corner, (something that I was ignorant of, since I had only been in three amazing churches in my life, all within 20 miles of each other)
In short, Thank you for following the Lords Direction and making the move back to the states…I can’t wait until the day that we see what has been accomplished in Peru happen in Alpharetta!
GLAD YOU ARE BACK!!!
Well what can I say. That letter made my day. Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for writing. I do believe that we are doing things the way God would have them done.
Let’s invite all of our friends to come and Discover the Difference!
