Though you might not believe it this is Betty and me on August 18, 1973. God has been so good to us and more so to me. We were married in Rome, Georgia and we were young and had no idea what all God had for us to do but it has been a wild and wonderful ride and I would not change a thing–except for all the mistakes that I have made and the heartaches that I have caused. She was beautiful that day and is far more beautiful today!
Betty, I want you to know that I love you with all my heart and that you are a far better woman than I ever deserved but that living with you has been the most wonderful earthly privilege that I have ever been given. Thank you so much. Thank you for being my best friend. Thank you for being loyal to me and faithful and there every day and every time that I ever needed you. Thank you for being my co laborer in the work that God called us to. Thank you for moving from church to church and then country to country. Thank you for loving the people and being the sweet heart to all the people where we have served. Thank you for being a most wonderful mom and being so influential in causing our children to turn out right. Thank you for being my friend. Just know that I love you and thank you for everything.
I also want to thank our wonderful children and grand children. We have been blessed beyond measure. I thank you for your testimonies and service to the great God of Heaven. Thank you for serving God and honoring Him with your lives.
I want to thank our friends that have been so kind to us over all these years. I do not know of anyone that has been more blessed with such wonderful friends spread literally all over the world.
I want to thank Vision Baptist Church. You are a blessing. You have been so good to us and treated us so much better than we ever deserved. Thank you for allowing us the great privilege of serving God with you.
I also want to congratulate Mike and DeAnna Staley some very good missionary friends of ours that are serving in Peru. This is their anniversary also.
And then lastly I want to congratulate Mark and Natasha Tolson some of the finest young people that I have ever known as they get married today.
God is so good. I would not trade all that He has done in our lives for anything.
