As far as I am concerned “Facing the Giants” is one of the best movies ever made. I especially like a conversation between the football coach and an older gentlemen in the hall way. I encourage you to watch the clip. Prepare for rain
A week ago we challenged our teenagers to ask God for 30 teenagers to be involved in our student ministries by the end of August! Since that time God has continued to answer our prayers and to reward the work of the teenagers. We had 19 teenagers on Tuesday of VBS and expect a record high attendance tonight!
We are preparing for rain.
I need you help as we strive to glorify God by bringing more students into this life changing community!
Here our some ways we could use you help to prepare:
1. Help us get the word out about VisionLockIN 2007. It will be our last big push before the Sunday before schools starts. It will go from August the 10th at 7 pm to 7 am the next day. We need help with supervision. We want to keep no more then 5 to 1 ratio. So we will need at least 8 to 10 volunteers. I know it will be tough to stay up all night — come on it is for the greatest cause!
2. We are in great need of 2 basketball goals. They would not only be used at the LOCKIN, but would get used on many occasions. This is not the cheapest, but by far not the most expensive. It is good enough quality to last us and adjustable to be used by the children’s ministry. If you would like to donate for this cause please let us know or surprise up and bring it to the church. 3. Weighted Poles for our Volley Ball Net. We already have the net, the volleyball, and people ready to play. We need help getting the poles to stand up in the parking lot. Since the business complex would not smile upon us putting wholes in their parking lot we need stands. We need the poles mounted in a tire of some device to keep it standing straight.
I want to thank you in advance for your help. I know if the Lord came send the rain he can send us the needed resources to be prepared for it!
