Great Sunday morning!

Well in spite of the summer months God has allowed or better said has caused our attendance to stay up. This morning in Sunday School we had 102 and for church we had 118. I thank God for each of you and how you are inviting and bringing new people on a regular basis.

This morning we were in our series on Diving Deeper so we studied Adoption. What a truth! The day is coming when all that is yours due to your being born again will be yours. We are waiting for our day when we get our new body, when we get out of the presence of sin and into His presence, when we get our inheritance. That day is coming soon so let’s be busy about the Father’s Work and prove our faithfulness over that which is least so that He can give us the opportunity to rule over much.

Tonight we are in Acts 2 and we see what happened on the day of Pentecost and how that applies to us. We will learn a little about what it means to be filled with the Spirit of God to witness of the wonderful works of our God.

This afternoon David Lundy is having a meeting with those who will be working in Vacation Bible School. It is exciting to see everyone working so hard and getting so excited about the chance to give the gospel to boys and girls from our area. The church is all decorated. The juice and cookies have been collected and I am sure that we need more, the lessons have been and are being studied. This is going to be a great week and I will report to you each day on what God is doing. Please remember to pray for all those that will be so busy this week.

  1. The Bridge Builders have been assembling names of friends to invite to Matthews Banquet. We prayed over the list of 27 people yesterday morning and asked God to help us get them to come. We welcomed two new members to the class yesterday, two new friends of mine and Sandy’s who have two wonderful daughters. One will be attending VBS this week. Our Sunday School meeting at Joe and Rhonda’s was a great time. We are working on ways that the Sunday Business Seminar can help the church. Get involved, that is where the real satisfaction is at.

  2. Great to be visiting Vision on Sunday morning. My wife and I enjoyed the lessn and church service and the kids had a great time in Sunday School and children’s church! I pray God continually blesses you all at VBC.

  3. We loved having you and count it an honor that you would visit our church. I pray that the service was a blessing to all who attended. Let me know if there is ever anything that we can do to help
