No provoking

Can you not imagine how this might provoke either your children or your wife:

I am the priority–only my projects matter. Drop what you are doing and come do what I say–I rule in other words. I am more important.

I have fallen into this one many times. Sometimes because I am a leader I want Betty to drop whatever she is doing and come do what I want. I fell into this trap with my kids. I think being the boss at work or church can make you think that you can do that at home. Sometimes we treat our children and or our wife like we would treat no one else.

We expect and demand their love and respect but we try to be kind, gentle and sweet with others to get them to do what we are asking. Boy am I feeling convicted

Are you mad yet?
