I praise God for any reason to even hope that the family is growing stronger in America. As you read the article go ahead and click on the link to go on to get the entire article. It takes the data and discusses it from just about every point of view. Our God and His Word tells us plainly that God instituted marriage and the family. For any marriage to work we need a serious, intimate relationship with God through the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. The fall in morality, the decline of the family, the rise of perversion all can be traced to the fact that we need Jesus Christ in our society. We must preach the Bible, the Word of God. We must tell people about Jesus and how they can have new life that will truly change them.

Take seriously the need of our children that are hurting so much from divorce. Everyone gets hurt in divorce. Let’s take the them the truth that can change their lives now and forever. Sunday is mother’s day. What a chance to bring your friends to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and to get people back to a relationship with the Lord Jesus.

NEW YORK — By the numbers, divorce just isn’t what it used to be.

Despite the common notion that America remains plagued by a divorce epidemic, the national per capita divorce rate has declined steadily since its peak in 1981 and is now at its lowest level since 1970.

Yet Americans aren’t necessarily making better choices about their long-term relationships. Even those who study marriage and work to make it more successful can’t decide whether the trend is grounds for celebration or cynicism.

Some experts say relationships are as unstable as ever—and divorces are down primarily because more couples live together without marrying. Other researchers have documented what they call “the divorce divide,” contending that divorce rates are indeed falling substantively among college-educated couples but not among less- affluent, less-educated couples.
