As I read my Bible this morning I came across this verse. It speaks so loudly to us as a church. We are to praise the Lord and give thanks to Him. He is good to us. His mercy endures forever towards us also. All the people shouted with a great shout. I wonder how anemic our praise to our God must seem in the average Baptist Church. They had an organized singing time because they sang by course. They sang together so it wasn’t just a praise band entertaining but an entire congregation worshipping. I challenge you as you come to church tonight and again on Sunday that we all take seriously the desire to praise and thank God. Let’s put effort into our praise. Don’t come to relax and let others praise. Let us praise and thank Him with all of our hearts and all of strength because He is worthy.
Ezra 3:11Â And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
