Arrived in Lima!

October 10, 2006 By Austin Gardner 2 Comments

Well it is 2 am Lima time.  Betty and I left the house this morning, Monday, at 9 am.  After a lot of mix ups and general trip fun we finally flew out of Atlanta to Houston, Texas at 1:35 pm.  When you are using your frequent flyer miles you take what you can get.  We then flew on to Lima and arrived here at about 10:40 pm which is one hour earlier than Atlanta time.

All is well but we are sitting here awake all night to take the 4:50 am flight on to Arequipa.  The Pastor´s school starts on Tuesday evening at 7 pm I am sure.  I am looking forward to being with them and to preaching there.  I will also have the chance to see all the new construction on the Bible College.  I really thank God for all that He has done to build and prepare the Bible College.

I ask you to pray for Betty and me.  I will be preaching 10 times in the Pastor´s School not counting what I will preach on Sunday.  It is always a great honor but I am always begging God for just the right message and that I might not get in His way and mess up what He is trying to do.

When we arrived we called the kids in Arequipa.  Andria is due to have her baby any day now but not one movement has been made in that direction.  We are praying that the baby will be born while we are here so please pray for Andria also.

I want you to know how much I love each of you.  I am thinking of you and praying for you.  I count it a great honor and privilege to pastor the Vision Baptist Church.  Betty and I love you more than we could ever express.

Keep checking here to get the latest news on what God is doing with us while we are here.

    Pastor,

Sounds like you and Betty have given a new meaning to the term “Red Eye”. We’ll be praying for you both and hope the Lord blesses you with the delivery of another grand baby while you’re there!

Looking forward to Tony’s preaching tomorrow night. I tease him unmercifully (last time I told him his message was so good he might finally be qualified for BIMI)but he comes back right away.

Love you in the Lord, have a prosperous trip hoping souls will be saved.

    Hugh

Thank you for your kindness. I appreciate your prayers. I know that Tony will do a great job and I hope you don’t let up on him. He is a great man of God but needs a little teasing here and there!!! ha
