History of the College

In 1987, God led the Austin Gardner family to the city of Arequipa, Peru to start a church planting ministry. During his first term on the field, the Lord gave Austin the privilege of training five young men and starting five churches.  Because of the need to train the men being called into the ministry in those churches, the Peru Baptist College was started.

From those first men that were trained and the initial churches that were started, over 70 churches have been planted in the country of Peru and in other parts of South America .

In December of 2005, Austin's son Chris Gardner, took over as President of the college. There are now approximately 100 students enrolled at Peru Baptist College , which is located on five acres of land which was provided by the Lord in June of 2001.

Through the Bible College ministry, not only have churches been started but the Lord has also given us the opportunity to see the following ministries started: Full Time Television Station, Printing Ministry, Hunter Christian School , and the Radio Ministry.   The College relys on monthly support for the basic utilities and food expenses of the students.

Because of the economy in Peru , it is almost impossible for a Peruvian to obtain a part time job that would enable them to go to Bible College . In order to help the students we offer them work scholarship, but the expenses are now more than all the missionaries can bare. We need your help.

Would you partner with us so we can together equip young men and women to send the gospel out?
