Birthplace: My name is Angela Irene Estrada Vega and I was born in the Via Rica district, in the province of Oxapampa , in the department of Cerro de Pasco, Peru . I was born on October 27th, 1981. My parents were: Vicente Estrada Mauricio e Irene Vega de Estrada. I have 4 older brothers: Percy (33), Henry (29) Rosemary (28), Ricardo (26), and me (24)

How I came to Know Christ: I was born into a Christian family that met in the Iglesia Bautista of Via Rica. Since I spent much time in the church, when I was 6 years old I recall my pastor Jose Luis explaining the plan of salvation to me. The pastor explained to me that I was a sinner that God loved me that Christ had died for me, that I needed to accept Him as personal Savior, and that God could the give me Eternal Life. I received Him in my heart that same day, and began to enjoy the New Life in Christ since February of 1987.

How Christ has changed my Life: I was faithful to the Lord from 6 to 15 years of age, working with children in Sunday School. I participated in Scripture memorization competitions along with other children. I had a full and joyful life. However at the age of 11 my parents sent me to Huancayo (a city 7 hours away) to achieve academically which is where I finished high school. Because of all the changes and being so far from my parents, this greatly influenced my life and there is where I first began to know about the things of the world. I began to live away from the Lord; I didn't attend church faithfully and began to change drastically in my life. I began to live a completely wayward life: drinking, smoking and dating a lost young man. Also my family began to have problems. When my brother almost died from TBC I promised God I would faithfully serve Him if he would heal my brother. Because this didn't happen until much later, I became even more rebellious. I knew that being with a lost boyfriend was not pleasing to Christ and that I needed to change so I surrendered to God and sought help in the secure refuge that is Christ. I returned to Via Rica and got involved in the Christian life and once again felt the joy of serving Christ like before.

My Calling into the Ministry: Having decided to serve Christ I returned to Huancayo and began to be faithful to the Lord in all the services. The pastor of the church had two of his children in the Seminary. I heard a message about how we often promise things to God that we never keep. It was then that God touched my heart to come and serve him full time. I then heard about the Macedonia Baptist Seminary and decided to come to prepare here. During this semester that I have been in the Seminary God has transformed me more and more. Not only through the teachings I have received but by the compassion He puts in my heart. I have gone through health problems and sometimes I‘ve had strong desires to quite this profession but God has strengthened me and I am sure that this is God's plan for my life. I will continue doing His work until the end.

My Plans for the Future: I want to keep helping to expand the various ministries in Huancayo that Pastor Trigoso has. He wants to evangelize the whole jungle area and I would like to support his vision by working with the native people there. I'm also interested in the church where I was born spiritually, also to go and work in my own church in Via Rica for at least a couple of years. Right now my church does not have a pastor and so I want to give Christ and his work everything I can. Hopefully we can continue the work of the Lord in the areas where I am from because there are, many natives there without Christ. But for right now I'm looking how to serve the Lord in as many areas as He shows me.
