Yosie Nunez

Birthplace: My name is Yosie Justo Nuñez Barrios. My parent's names are Jorge Nunez and Floria Barrios. I have 5 siblings and their names are: Joel , Freddy, Abel, Sofia , and Tirsa.

How I came to know Christ: I was the kind of young person that would go to the Catholic Church but on occasion I went to the “friendship” church. This church invited me their young peoples meeting and I began to little by little go to that church. it was at a young peoples meeting that I trusted Christ as my savior. My life changed in that I used to have the wrong kind of friends and was out in the street in all hours of the night. After being saved however all of this changed.

My calling: My story how I got called into the ministry was something like Jonah. Many times we want to go the other way and not obey God's call but God is always there preparing a big fish. I was working as a leader in the friendship church. One day though a brother in Christ did something that discouraged me to the pint that I started to get away from church. I started to study a career and then got a job, and I started going less to less to church. This continued until one day God got my attention through a problem in my father's house in Quillabamba. Me and my family were caught in the middle of court dispute with my brother and my mother. During this time God made us understand that we can not escape him and can not forget about him. There was church there called the Jerusalem Baptist church. I started to work there. I found out through my pastor that there had been some property purchased for the seminary and I decided to study there. The seminary has helped me a lot with my preparation. At the seminary I go through trials and problems but this is how one prepares to do the work for God. You have to pay the price and that is something I am very grateful for. As far as my expenses, I live by faith. I work in a children's home on Mondays from 7- 3pm and this helps me some in my studies.

Future plans: This is my last year in the seminary and once I am done I am going to go out according to the lords will and start a work.
