Birthplace: My name is Walter Adan Pari Aguilar. I was born on December 23, 1972 in the Province of Ilo in the Department of Moquegua. My parents names are Valintin and Estephanie. My sibling names are Richard, Abad, Levi, and Kessia.
How I came to know Christ: I was born into a Jehovah Witness family. I went to that church until I was 11. My parents split up and were kicked out of the church and we went through very critical times. I am a musician and I use to perform for the world. I enjoyed playing for the world until God used someone to explain to me how wrong that was. However, I could not give it up because that was my life. He ask me; “How many people have you killed today?” and I didn't answer him because I didn't know what he meant. “God is going to ask you to give an account of the talents he gave you.” “What will you tell him?” This worried me very much. One day I came across someone who had a sore throat. They said “I'm like this because I have given everything to God, and if I sing till I'm horse I don't care.” This was all I need to cause me to start looking for God.
However, the world had a very strong pull on me and it got the better of me. This was until one day someone gave me a track call “The Bridge To Eternal Life” which has five steps to be saved. I read it several times until I had peace in my heart. That night I prayed and accepted Christ into my heart. I can say that a track witnessed to me. I got to a church and determined to help the pastor. I have now let God take my life according to his will. I've gone through many trials and through these God has been my comforter. I trusted Christ on November 15, 2002 and was baptized on July 29, 2003.
My calling: I felt called to be a servant of God at the 5 th youth congress in the Macedonia Baptist Seminary. However, it was difficult to leave everything behind because I had a professional career, wealth, and a family. God has put a burden on my heart for the children of the world. I'm a teacher in a primary school, a specialist with children, rural schools, and illiterate people.
Future plans: The reason I came to the seminary is to start Christian Schools where children for the ministry. For now, I am waiting on the Lord because I'm in his hands. Although I am 32 and it's a little difficult for me to compete with the other students, but God has given me joy in my heart and my faith is growing more and more. I am preparing myself more and asking God to provide what is just and necessary. Thank you and God bless. |
