Birthplace: My name is Luis Alberto Ramirez Armas. My parents are Luis Alberto Ramirez Arellán and Martha Aurea Armas (passed away) and my new mother is Isabel Cristina Tovar. I have 3 brothers and 2 half- brothers. Their names are Jonathan Caleb (23), me (20), Esteban Felipe (16), Moises Andres Ramirez Diaz (7) and a new born. I was born on September 22nd, 1984 in the district of Lima, in the Province of Lima , in the Department of Lima, Peru.

How I Came to know Christ: I was raised in a Christian family and I saw in my parents an example of how to be faithful Christians and because of this they always insisted we were in church. My father was a pastor and he took us to live in the city of Huancayo and later to Paramongo (a district about 3 hours from Lima ) Then we went to live in Cajamarca for about 7 years. During that time in my life I did not enjoy it very much and because my parents were both deaf I felt that the services were boring. Because our parents were deaf it was also easy for us to lie and trick them. We took advantage of the privileges that they did give us. I once told them I would be out with my friends and went out to play with videogames, pool and the internet. I didn't use my money wisely on things I needed but just threw it away with dumb things. As I got older I began to understand about and when I was 8 years old I received Christ as my personal Savior.

How Christ has changed my Life: After having received Christ I began to read the Bible much more than before. I got involved with the church meetings but because my church was small the spiritual level was very low and instead of growing there were many problems that made it decrease (issues of immorality) within the church and the leaders. Discouragement covered my life. My father had to leave the ministry and was practically destroyed. I moved away from the things of God for about 2 years. During those years I dedicated myself to the things of the world, with bad company, alcohol, smoking and many girls. I was invited to the V Youth Congress by my older brother in Arequipa , Peru . I came and while listening to a message that talked about running away from sin, from youthful lusts and how to say NO to the evil of this world. I also heard about the need around the world for Christ and especially for those people like my parents that could not hear. Then I decided to give my life to God to serve him in the ministry full time, and especially with the deaf people.

My Calling into the Ministry: At that same Congress I felt that God was calling me into the ministry and I wanted to stay there and go to the Seminary to continue to prepare myself but I was advised that it would be better to wait a time to get assurance of that calling of God on my life. After 6 months I came to study for the ministry at the Seminary. I am in the second semester of my first year of studies and until now the Seminary has been a great help for me in relation to my character and my responsibilities as a man of God. It has given me a greater discipline and much more bible knowledge that is indispensable in the work of the ministry of God. The Seminary has helped me to feel the burden of the world going to Hell and in my case a great burden for the deaf without Christ.

My Plans for the Future: I am almost certain that God wants me to be a missionary with the ministry of the deaf. For now I don't a particular place but I am sure that I till be in a foreign place. I pray and am still waiting for his direction. My goal for now is to help families in the ministry of deaf and hearing. In the problems that arise from having a deaf person in one's home. I would like to write book to help others know how to treat a deaf person in different ways and areas of their need. I hope with the grace of God make these dreams a reality.
