Birthplace: My name is Juan Gabriel Castelo Estrada.I am from San Martin of Porres , Lima . My parents are Gabriel and Julia. I have two brothers: Tino and Julisa.
How I came to know Christ: We had problems with my father and other women in my life. And because of these things I started to join myself with friends that wanted to drink, smoke, hang out with different women. And I had a lot of pressure in my house and in the institute where I studied. And every weekend, I would go to night clubs, parties, dances, alcohol, cigarettes, women, etc. The greater part of my salary I would waste. In the midst of my bad life, my brother Tino was the first to arrive at Iglesia Shaddai. Through the ministry of Pastor Jonathan Arizmendi. It was through my twin brother that I started going to church. After going to the church for three weeks, at the end of the service I started talking with the pastor and my brother. We started talking about the plan of salvation. And that is when my brother and I got saved.
How Christ has changed my Life: After receiving Christ, the change was not immediate. But I did feel great curiosity to learn more and to have friendships with the young people from the church. Little by little, the pastor showed more and more interest in me and started giving me more things to do such as reading scripture, going soul winning, but once again, I stopped going to church for a few months. But after that I realized that my life without Christ would be a disaster, so raised my self up again.
My calling into the Ministry: A tragedy happened, during the first year I was in my church. Some of my friends died. Once I finished my career in the institute, my grandmother died. And I started to think whether she had been saved or not. I really didn't know. During that time, I wanted to do great things for god, but I still had doubts. Because of all these tragedies, I started thinking about what I was doing for the people of this world. Especially for the people that I know. I determined to be a great man of God without the need to study. But god wanted me to serve him full time. I left everything that I have studied, a job and a home, all of this, to follow his will.
My Plans for the Future: I want to reach the world in my generation. |
