Birthplace: My name is Jonathan Josué Martínez Arroyo. My parents are Luis Felipe Martínez Farfán and Melva Arroyo Vitteri. I have 5 siblings. Luis Eduardo Manuel (30), Jenny Melva (28), Patsy Beatriz (27), Marco Aurelio Augusto (26) and Daniela Sebastiana (22). I was born on the 8th of July, 1983 in Lima, Peru.

How I came to know Christ: I was born in a Christian family. Almost everyone went to the church and I also went faithfully to Sunday School. About 60% of my family is Christian. By the conversion of my Father all of the family started going to church, and thus my family had the opportunity to know to Christ. When I was 7 years old I received Christ, when a Sunday School teacher told me how to be saved.

How Christ has changed my Life: When I was a child, the change probably wasn't very obvious. My life was very relaxed and normal. That is to say, I went to church and all, but I continued with my secular life, doing my whims with not much purpose to my life. When I was 17 years old, I consecrated my life to God in a camp in Lima when I heard the theme of "Jesus is the True Vine". This really touched my heart and I understood that I am not anything without God working in my life. God spoke to me a lot in that message because my life was not producing fruit like the life of a Christian should. When I left from that camp, I decided to live my life for God and bear fruit because this would glorify God. When I returned to my church, I got involved with the youth, I was in discipleship and I also directed the services in the church. Still I have a family where some are not saved, so please pray for them. Some say they are saved although I do have doubts of a lot of them since there has been no change in their lives.

My Calling into the Ministry: I was now serving in the work of God. Later, I started to study music and also take charge in many areas of the ministry. Thus serving, I had another opportunity to have part in a campaign called "God's Word is Life". In this campaign, God spoke to me about the ministry when a man preached on David. Through this message, God gave me a burden for people. I decided to prepare myself and to serve the Lord with my strength, my life, my energy and my talent. Later, I heard about the Seminary through my brother-in-law Jorge Montenegro who encouraged me to come there. This was truly an answer to prayer because I had been praying that God would direct me to a place where I could recieve the necessary praparation. It was in August of the year 2004 that I came down to the seminary to initiate my so desired preparation. The Seminary is an excellent place of preparation for the servant of God because itis strong in doctrine, discipline and its formation in general. For my support, I have a small work in the Faith Baptist Church.

My Plans for the Future: I want to go and found a ministry with a focus on young people. Once with them, I would like to prepare them for discipling, theatre, music and evangelism in order to carry the gospel out to schools, institutes, universities and other places of youth affluence with the purpose of evangelizing them. Also, I would like to have a recording studio to record Christian music. I would like to do this all in Peru, specifically in the city of Piura, and later in other countries. I'm not sure how I will do it, what way and when, but in the meantime I am preparing what I can for this project while here in Arequipa, and after I am finished with my studies here, I will continue. Another one of my goals is to record healthy Christian music in the middle of this period of time in which the music is a weakness of the Christian multitude.
