Birthplace: My name is Joel Jorge Nunez Barrios and I am from the city of Arequipa , and my father is Jorge and my mother is Floria. I have five brothers, Yosip, Fredy, Abel, Sofia, and Thinsa. 

How I came to know Christ: In actuality we live in the city of Arequipa , in the district of Cerro Colorado . I am 24 years old. I was born the 11 of October of 1981. I was catholic until I was 18 years old and then I participated in a young peoples meeting of Iglesia bautista amistad where I heard the gospel of Jesus Christ and received him as my personal savior. After a certain amount of time, I started discipleship with brother John Condori and I decided to get baptstized the 8 th of January of 2000. 

How God changed my Life: That year I participated in a youth camp in Camana, and god touched my heart to preach the word of god and announce the message of salvation to all the lost world. But sadly in my school, my family and friends they were apposed to the church because of its teachings and I got discouraged. For two years I tried to study a career in the University and in several institutes. 

My Calling into the Ministry: In the year 2000 in December, I traveled to Quillabamba and I went to Jerusalem Baptsist church where god broke my heart so that I would prepare myself to study in the seminary so that I could become a pastor and preach the gospel. In march of 2003, I went to seminario bautista Macedonia and presently I am studying, and these studies are of much help to the ministries that I have here in amistad and I thank god for the pastors and teachers of this seminary, also for this seminary where many people are prepared from different places to do great things to reach the world with the gospel. 

My Plans for the Future: My plans are to help in my church “amestad” during two years. Then if god wants, I will start a church where ever god desires.
