Birthplace: My name is Henry Moises Alvarado Loayza. I was born December 2, 1979 in the district of Huanuco, in the province of Huanuco , in the department of Huanuco , Peru. My parents names are: Alberto Alvarado Albornoz and Fanny Elízabeth Ventura (widow of Alvarado). I have two half brothers: José Ricardo San Martín (33), and Iván Alvarado (22).

How I came to know Christ: My mother was a Jehovah's Witness and my father believed in God in his own way. Before dying my father went to the Hunter Baptist Church once in a while which made me think that he might have made the decision to be saved. My family was doing pretty good and my dad worked for VOLVO as a heavy machinery mechanic and was a drunk. Because of this kind of life he suffered a heart attack and passed away. Before this I remember that my parents always gave me a lot of material things. However I never saw a male model in my life. I lived a life on the streets. I tried drugs and drank often; I went around with women and places of sin. In 1991 while living in Arequipa I was invited to go to church by my cousin Erica. After going to church a while and studying in the Christian school, and having made an apparent profession of faith I was not yet a Christian. It was on November 9, 1992 while I was talking to the pastor, Carlos Marquina, he explained to me how to be truly saved and after that I received assurance of salvation after he showed me the verse in John that says that no one can take a believer away from the hands of Christ.

How Christ has changed my Life: When I did finally receive Christ I let go of those sinful habits I had even while I was supposedly ¨saved¨. But from the moment Christ truly came into my life, I quite going with the wrong group and started to actively participate in the ministries of the church. I especially went into those ministries that deal with evangelism. My mother was very pleased to see how my life changed and didn't care where I had gotten help but was just glad that I had gotten some. Her religion truly affected my way of viewing God since she did not believe that Christ was God. But I knew that there is nothing good that one can receive from that religion since we can do nothing apart from Christ. My mother is still not saved although whenever I have witnessed to her before she has said she was saved only to get me off her back about it. Every weekend I spend several hours witnessing to my mother. It is my desire that she may know the God that saved me.

My Calling into the Ministry: In 1995 I went to an exposition on missions at a Missions Campaign. My pastor, Carlos Marquina told me about Australia and the world need for the Gospel. God put a desire in my heart to be another one of his spokesman. I realized as well that the best place to instruct me in the way of the ministry was in the Seminary. However, incredibly enough I got away from the Lord for 5 years. During these years I lived in the same garbage that I had lived in before. I lived away from any rules, guidelines, and authorities I also traveled a lot around the southern part of Peru . I worked for a book distributor company. I tried everything to live the way I wanted. I wanted to redo my life, get married, have children and have money. I did end up making money but I felt like nothing was going well fore me and that there was no solution to my problems. For this reason I thought of committing suicide. I wanted a life of peace without having to commit myself to the ministry.

In 2001 three things played a part of me coming back to Christ. The first was that my pastor Carlos Marquina invited me to once again enter the Seminary. Then Bro. Miguel Murillo asked me why I wouldn't do the same. I felt like I had failed once and that I might fail again. But the last straw was when my father died of a hearth attack, which drove me to completely surrender to God's will. I later received a great job offer but refused it to once and for all leave the world and stay in the way of the Lord. I went to the Seminary in August of 2003 and I've been there for 2 and a half years. The Seminary has helped enlarge the dreams that God has given me. My life has changed in this place in many ways such as in my character, my attitude and my general way of acting. I work some in order to pay my debts and the rest of my needs God had supplied them in different ways.

My Plans for the Future: God has put a desire in my heart to go to far off places to share the Gospel; places like the jungle, the mountain and have a base of operations where we could go around and visit. This group would be made up of 10 peoples who know different languages and dialects, Quechua being one of them, and mainly people who have the same evangelistic Herat . We would like to begin from the northern part of Peru and have conferences in all the cities. After having planted the seed and receiving the first fruits then we will bring in pastors that want to continue the work that is there. We will be working in conjunction with the Seminary. If this were to work the way I'm hoping, we could then go into other countries. When traveling around the cities in Peru I was able to see the great need for the Gospel and so we must go to those far away places. My desire is to be an evangelist but if the Lord were to change my plans and want me as a pastor, I will do that too.
