Birthplace: My name is Alex Teodoro Aguilar Ccama. My parents were Isidro Aguilar Tacuri and Silvia Ccama Quispe. My parents had five children: Lucy (23), Marleny (22), Me (20), Jeannette (14), and Snayder (13). I was born on April 2nd, 1985, in Santa Rosa district of the Melgar province of the Province of Puno , in Peru .

How I came to know Christ: My family has been catholic from its roots. We did not follow any type of rituals and rarely did we ever go to mass. I never completed any of the sacraments. In other words, I was one of the immense numbers of Catholics that don't know why they are. Many times, we had problems in the home stemming from my father's constant partying. He would come home drunk and beat my mother. We tried to calm them, but sometimes our efforts were futile; at other times, we were successful. In 1995, all my family came to stay in Arequipa , Peru , searching for better economic conditions. I was then 17 years old, working as a guard for a public transportation service. One day, someone came and knocked on my door. His name was Brother Roberto Almeron, and he invited me to the Victory Baptist Church . I attended the services there faithfully though I had not come to know Christ as my personal Savior. In one service, where my pastor spoke about salvation, I accepted Christ as my personal Savior.

How Christ has changed my Life: After I accepted Christ, my bad habits started to change, as in, going with my friends drinking, or to the clubs. I stopped listening to the music that does not please the Lord. Also, my character has changed. I used to have a bad temper and was very arrogant. God, little by little, started to change me to become more tolerant, more patient, and more kind. My family saw the change, and they thought it was something emotional and that it would only last a short time. However, on the contrary, I continued to persevere in the faith and in the love of God. My life continued to change, and this made my family decide to go the church. Actually, my mother and my siblings and I are saved. I continue to pray for my father that he would one day repent of all his sins.

My Calling into the Ministry: Living the Christian life, and seeing my past errors and their consequences is why I climbed a hill and looked out over the multitudes of houses and people below, I felt the conviction of God to preach His Word to the crowds of people. There, I dedicated and committed my life to the ministry. First, I worked in Sunday School with the children. Then, I became the captain of a visitation route; afterward, I worked as an usher and in the cell group ministry. Until, finally, I became the director of the youth meeting. Later, I decided to become an intern in my church, my family gave me a blank sheet, because I decided an individual way. After having been an intern in my church for 6 months, and having been baptized, I entered into the Seminary in August of 2004. Two years after my decision to prepare for the ministry, my sister, Lucy, surprised me by making the same decision. Now she also is preparing herself for the ministry. To be in the Seminary is vital in order to be able to be completely prepared. It is a necessary place for every one who has been called to the ministry. I work in order to be able to pay my debts as a student; and until now, God has provided every one of my necessities—from school supplies to the expenses for the students. God has shown him faithful. My family also, at times, helps me in any way they can.

My Plans for the Future: I want to be a missionary to Africa , if that is what God wants. But, right now, I am praying and waiting for God's direction. I know that it is necessary to study another language, and I will in order to be able to go and give the good news of salvation to all who are away from God. If God allows me to be in the field of action in Africa , I would like to plant a church, and later plant more “daughter churches” in order that they would be established and form a focus of evangelization from the place where God puts me.
